Despite the
rain throughout the week, the clouds at last broke and the sunshine was golden.
Showers from the previous evening had left the wicket damp and slow and the
toss was an important one. Sure enough it was lost again!
boy Carvelly, the pair taking the score to 117 before
catch for the pint sized keeper. Jamie 'Squirrel' Slater
had a brief cameo at the death, but Port couldn't quite get past the 200 mark,
again bowled out without using their overs. A disappointing
climax to an innings that had promised so much.
